Shaolin Temple

Shaolin Temple is the source of Buddhist Zen and Shaolin Kongfu. Its major architecture is Changzhuyuan Temple, where the monks manage Buddhist activities. Changzhuyuan was built in 1963 in the northern Wu Dynasty (195 years) and was included in the first group of major national relics and sanctuaries in 1963. In more than 30,000 locations, Changzhuyuan Temple has bell towers, drum towers, rizudian, hsudian and other subsidiary buildings on two sides of the central axis, such as the central axis Dawangdian and Daxunbaodian. Mark the stone inscriptions inside the Shaolin temple, the murals and the rest of the ancient Chinese buildings, all bear witness to the history of the Shaolin temple in different aspects. Shaolin Temple is an invaluable treasure house for studying Chinese history, culture, architecture, religion, calligraphy, sculpture, painting and martial arts. The Shaolin Temple has developed into a unique cultural phenomenon in its 1500 year history and becomes an integral part of Chinese culture. The Shaolin Temple was included on the World Heritage List in March of 2007.
