Junjifeng Mt.

Taishishan Mt., usually referred to as Songshan Mt., is well known for its tall, spectacular natural protection shaped like a great lying dragon. The main peak of Taishishan Mt., Junjifeng Peak is located at altitude of 1494 meters and hence, the peak has been renamed as Yubeifeng Peak by King Qianlong of Qing Dynasty. The top of the peak is plane and large like top of a treasure house. Standing on top of the peak, one could see Qiyin on the south surrounded by rivers and mountains, and the spectacular Shaoshishan Mt. on the west. Looking into the North of the peak, one could see the endless Yellow river. Near the peak lie green pine forest, colorful wild flowers, continuous mountains and thick cloud. At the sunset, the Shaoshishan Mt. becomes more diverse, spectacular and splendid. There are a great many caves on the Shaoshishan Mt. which have been used as residential place for recluses and Taoist alchemists. Dengxiantai station, Wansuiting pavilion and Baxiantan temple had been built by King Wudi of West Han Dynasty during his visit to Taishishan Mt. At Southeast of Baxiantan temple stands a stone tablet with inscriptions of Queen of West Han Dynasty, which testify King Wudi’s visit to the mountain. King Qianlong had inscribed on the peak of the Taishishan Mt. Junjifeng peak has been a scenery spot never be left out by tourists and visitors of Songshan.
